We recognise that some of our new customers might find it hard to pick a web hosting plan and might not understand all the terms listed in our site. Althought we do try our best to make the hosting process simple and easy to understand. That is why we have included an online glossary about some of the terms to help our users understand what each term means to help them choose a hosting package

Plans

We have three hosting plans. You are free to upgrade at any time for free.

Disk Space

The more disk space you have the more files, pages, emails, and more everything your account will be able to store on our server.

Bandwidth

Bandwidth can be best described as gas for a car. If your website runs out of bandwidth nobody will be able to visit it. 1GB of bandwidth is equal to over 100,000 hits. The average account with us uses less than 2 GB of bandwidth a month. Your bandwidth number used will reset back to zero on the first of every month.

Monthly Price

All of our hosting plans come with the option to pay monthly or yearly. The price will never increase as long as you keep your account with us. The price you see is the TOTAL price you will pay.

POP3 Accounts

This is the number of POP accounts you get. POP accounts are used to send and receive emails through programs such as Outlook Express or Eudora.

mySQL Database

MySQL is the world's most popular open source database. Many forums and other database driven programs require MySQL to run. We use version 5.0.45 at this time with our reseller servers.

FTP Accounts

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. Having multiple FTP accounts will allow you to give friends and employees their own FTP account. This will allow you to give them as little or as much access to your website as you choose.

CGI

CGI stands for Common Gateway Interface. CGI is one method by which a web server can obtain data from (or send data to) databases, documents, and other programs, and present that data to viewers via the web.

More simply, a CGI script is a program intended to be run on the web. A CGI program can be written in any programming language, but Perl is one of the most popular. On our servers you will get a cgi-bin directory that your scripts should normally be uploaded to, however your CGI scripts will work both inside and outside of this directory.

Perl

Perl is one of the most common CGI scripting languages used today. We have version 5.8.7 currently installed on our servers.

SSH

We allow you to use the OpenSSH Protocol (using Jailed Shell) on your primary Reseller hosting account to make it easier to develop and debug your files with such text editors as vim and nano.

SSI

Server Side includes, refers to Perl based HTML commands that direct a server to generate on-the-fly contact for web pages.

CRON

Crontab is a process in Unix systems that uses a Daemon called cron to execute commands for the user at a certain time.

CURL

Server Side includes, refers to Perl based HTML commands that direct a server to generate on-the-fly contact for web pages.

Image Magik

ImageMagick is a robust collection of tools and libraries to read, write, and manipulate an image in many formats. We stay up to date on the latest version.

Ruby on Rails

Ruby On Rails is an open-source web framework that's built for productivity.

Python

Python is a programming/scripting language that can be used on many different computers and operating systems.

FrontPage

We support all version of Microsoft FrontPage. Frontpage is a website creation tool that can be used to both create and upload your site when FP extensions are installed.

Streaming Audio/Video

We support Windows Media, Quicktime, and Real Media player allowing you to run streaming audio and video.

Module Installation

Need a special module for your program to work? We will review requests for custom modules within 24 hours.

Web Mail

We include squirrel, horde, and round cube with all our hosting packages . Web mail allows you to send and receive emails online by going to yoursite.com/webmail

Auto Responders

You can setup your email addresses so when they receive mail they will automatically reply back with your message.

SPAM Assasin

If you enable Spam Assasin it will block most spam from reaching your e-mail.

IMAP

We support Internet Message Access Protocol. "IMAP permits a "client" email program to access remote message stores as if they were local."

SMTP

We allow you to use our servers to send outgoing mail.

Fantastico

Fantastico DeLuxe will allow you and your customers to install over 50 scripts instantly.

Soholaunch

Soholaunch Pro Edition is  website creation software made for people of all experience levels.

Hotlink Protection

Hotlinking is when another site is linking to your images or files. Hotlink protection will stop them from stealing your bandwidth.

pHpMyAdmin

All accounts come with phpMyAdmin preinstalled.  PhpMyAdmin allows for easy management of your databases.

Custom Error Pages

Allows you to make a custom error page for anyone who visits a not existant page of your site.

File Manager

You can upload your files directly from our control panel via the File Manager. You can get to this by logging into your cPanel account and clicking the File Manager icon.

Instant Form Mail

Formmail is a form that will email you all the info when filled out.

Referrer log

The referrer log will  tell you what sites your traffic is coming from.

Shared SSL

We will provide your site with a self assigned shared SSL. SSL encrypts confidential data such as credit card numbers and passwords. Either a shared SSL or a private SSL is required when taking credit cards off your site.

Agora cart

Agora is another of the fully featured shopping cart we provide, and can be installed with a click of the mouse.

osCommerce

osCommerce is yet another of the shopping carts we provide that can be installed with a click of the mouse. "osCommerce allows store owners to setup, run, and maintain their online store fronts with minimum effort and with absolutely no costs or license fees involved

Zen cart

Zen Cart is another of the shopping carts we provide that can be installed with a click of the mouse.

Cube cart

Cube cart is another shopping cart that is free to use and can be installed instantly using our control panel..

We guarantee that your site will be up 99.9% of the time we host it. This guarantee includes both network and server failures. If your site isn't up 99.9% in any one month we will issue a full  refund for the month.
